A tale based on true events.
If you give a woman a webcam, she’ll probably want to unbox it on Instagram to show her friends her upgrade.
When she unboxes it on Instagram, she might start a Zoom meeting to make sure it works.
When she starts the Zoom meeting and sees that it works by simply inserting the USB into her Mac and selecting the correct camera, she’ll celebrate when she sees the clear video quality.
Then she’ll go to the webcam website to find the phone app so she can remotely fine-tune the video.
When she downloads the app, she might discover the webcam doesn’t work anymore.
When the webcam doesn’t work she’ll probably search YouTube to troubleshoot the problem.
When she goes to YouTube, she’ll see the webcam company recommends testing the webcam with FaceTime.
When she tests the webcam with FaceTime, she might be asked for her Apple ID.
When she’s asked for her Apple ID, she’ll check her LastPass password manager.
When she uses her Apple ID password in her LastPass account to log into FaceTime, she’ll probably get the message “ID not found.”
Then, she’ll start a Zoom meeting and try her webcam again.
When she starts her Zoom meeting, she’ll see the automatic cloud recording begin.
That’s when she’ll remember that her storage is almost full.
When she remembers her storage is almost full, she’ll get so sick of that setting and go to change the recording setting.
She’ll head to the Zoom dashboard and realize she signed in with the wrong email.
When she signs into the right account, she’ll probably head to ”Recording Management.”
At Recording Management, she might try to delete the last five recordings of her attempts to use her webcam on Zoom.
When she deletes those five recordings, she might have actually deleted fifty-one recordings instead.
When she sees fifty-one deleted recordings, she’ll go to the Live Chat feature to ask how to retrieve deleted recordings.
Then she’ll probably then go through all the deletions and end up with thirty of those recordings.
When she retrieves those recordings, she might see a pop-up notification that her hard drive is overloaded, and Chrome is freezing.
When her hard drive overloads she will restart her computer, and her software will probably update.
When her software starts the update, she might have only twenty minutes before her next Zoom meeting.
Her computer will restart right before her Zoom meeting begins, and she will plug the webcam USB into her Mac and join the Zoom meeting.
When she joins her Zoom meeting, her webcam works nicely.
P.S. If you share a story with a friend, that friend will probably share one of her own.
